A week ago, a college student, Kyle Fleischmann, went missing after a night out at the clubs in my home town of Charlotte, NC. There is a massive search underway for Kyle and a new facebook group called 'Help Find Kyle Fleischman - Missing' was set up by one of his friends. There have not been many ways for families to find missing teens, college students, and adults. Facebook with its community seems to be a perfect place to alert the world to look for a person.
Thousands of facebook members have joined the search for Kyle by joining this group on facebook. Kyle's photo has also been picked up by the website of television's America's Most Wanted as well. There was a small segment on NBC's Today Show as well.
I wrote a note to one of the executives at facebook to see if facebook, might be able to set up it's equivalent of a missing person's area to help those families similar to an "Amber Alert" where the first 48 hours of the missing person's disappearance is crucial. I also thought an innovative 3rd party facebook developer might consider setting up a website or application to help with this as well.

Please take time for your prayers for the family of Kyle.
